OUR APPROACH
Detail is a method.

Surface first
We identify what is on each surface before we choose anything: new plaster, existing emulsion, old oil-based gloss, bare timber or MDF.
Primer and paint are then chosen for that surface, not for the room it is in.

Modern enamels
On doors, joinery and kitchens we use modern water-based or hybrid enamels, chosen for the surface and for how hard it is used.
They are low in odour and VOCs and less prone to yellowing than traditional oil-based gloss.

Current knowledge
We read the manufacturers' technical data sheets and keep up with new products and coatings. A system we have not used before is tried on a sample first.
Coatings change quickly, and the data sheet says what a product will and will not do on a given surface.
